Story Content
Once upon a time, in a cozy little house near {CITY}, lived a curious child named {CHILD_NAME}. {CHILD_NAME} loved looking at the stars. Every night, before bed, {FAMILY_MEMBER} would lift {CHILD_NAME} up to the window so they could wish upon the brightest star. One day, {CHILD_NAME}’s best friend, {FRIEND_NAME}, came over with an amazing cardboard box spaceship!
"Let's fly to space!" exclaimed {FRIEND_NAME}.
{CHILD_NAME}’s eyes widened. "Really? Can we?"
"Of course!" said {FRIEND_NAME}. "But we need one more thing: space rocks!"
So, {CHILD_NAME} and {FRIEND_NAME} piled into the spaceship, ready for adventure. With a countdown from ten, they blasted off! Zoom! Whoosh! The spaceship gently floated out above {CITY}, through the clouds, and onward to the starry sky.
After a bit of floating, they landed on a small, sparkly asteroid. It was COVERED in space rocks! Blue ones, red ones, green ones… {CHILD_NAME} and {FRIEND_NAME} were overjoyed.
"{FRIEND_NAME}, look!" cried {CHILD_NAME}, holding up a particularly shiny purple rock. "This would look perfect in my bedroom!"
{FRIEND_NAME} found a rock that shimmered like gold. "And this one is perfect for my collection!"
They started gathering all the space rocks they could carry, each wanting to have the biggest and best collection. Soon, the spaceship was overflowing! {CHILD_NAME} carefully placed their rocks in a pile, feeling very proud of having so many.
Suddenly, the asteroid began to shake! "Uh oh," said {FRIEND_NAME}, "I think we overloaded the asteroid with the weight of the rocks!"
The spaceship started to wobble. "We need to lighten the load!" {CHILD_NAME} exclaimed.
{FRIEND_NAME} looked sadly at their pile of rocks. {CHILD_NAME} looked at theirs, too. They both realized they had been so busy collecting, they hadn't thought about sharing.
"{FRIEND_NAME}," {CHILD_NAME} said, "maybe… maybe we can share the rocks? We can each pick a few of our favorites, and then leave the rest here so the asteroid doesn't fall apart."
{FRIEND_NAME}'s face brightened. "That's a great idea, {CHILD_NAME}! That way, we both get awesome rocks, and we save the asteroid!"
So, {CHILD_NAME} and {FRIEND_NAME} carefully chose their favorite space rocks, making sure to pick ones that they knew the other would like. {CHILD_NAME} even gave {FRIEND_NAME} the shiny purple one, because {FRIEND_NAME}’s eyes had lit up when they first saw it.
With the spaceship much lighter, they blasted back towards {CITY}. When they arrived, {FAMILY_MEMBER} was waiting, ready to hear of their adventure. {CHILD_NAME} showed off a few sparkling space rocks, carefully explaining how they had learned that day. They both agreed that sharing made the whole adventure even more fun. That night, as {CHILD_NAME} looked out the window with {FAMILY_MEMBER}, and wished upon the brightest star, they knew that sharing their treasures—and their adventures—was the best thing of all. And they couldn’t wait to go back to space with {FRIEND_NAME} soon!
